Kitty and Puppy Haven is a pro-life sanctuary started in 2000 with the dual purpose of rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing neglected, abused and abandoned animals – and at the same time providing primary veterinary care – including vaccinations, rabies shots, and sterilisations to the local under-privileged communities, townships and squatter camps.
Our rescues originate from low income areas, other welfare organisations (that also work in townships and squatter camps), and veterinary practices or as a result of emergency rescues.
Kitty and Puppy Haven will not euthanize any animals if they can be healed and have a healthy, pain free, happy life. As most animals come from disadvantaged backgrounds, many require extensive veterinary care.
Every animal that passes through our doors receives standard health care – vaccinations, de- worming, flea control and sterilisation. All the work we do is founded solely by public donations and corporate sponsorship.
